Interviews

With my interview setups, I focus on four things: light, framing, location, and sound. First, motivated lighting creates depth and that unique “cinematic” aesthetic, giving the production a higher-budget look. Framing is second - using the proper lens with a combined f-stop is essential to give depth, and every production I shoot uses the highest quality prime cine glass. Third, finding the best location to use as a subject backdrop is significant to enhance and support the story being told. This is especially true when we want to create a more in-depth and personal connection with the audience, giving a deeper understanding of the story. Finally, sound is arguably the most critical part of any interview shoot; my equipment reflects that. Using the highest quality mic/mixer available on the market, paired with 32-bit recording with optional sound blankets to eliminate echo.

My interview setup is flexible and scales up or down depending on each production's budget and travel/gear requirements. So feel free to reach out - I would love to hear more about the story you want to tell.
